Farm Fresh Fun! Meet The TK Farm!
The TK Farm is owned and run by Tanner and Karolyn Nyl. They are a small family-run farm located in the beautiful Cariboo region of British Columbia.
The couple grew up around farm animals, and when they moved to the Cariboo, they felt drawn to live a more sustainable lifestyle, getting back in touch with nature.
At The TK Farm, the family raises horses, cows, chickens, ducks and goats.
They believe in treating their animals humanely and giving them plenty of love and attention as well as nutritious food so that they may grow up healthy and happy and stay that way!
Horses have become a special passion for Karolyn’s son who lives with autism – the benefits of being outside surrounded by animals has been incredible! As such, one of their long-term goals is to make The TK Farm an Autism Friendly Farm – a place where kids on the Spectrum can come experience life on a farm.
An Autism Friendly Farm
Being that we know first hand the ups and downs that living with Autism brings.
We are looking to open up a special Autism friendly area designed specifically with these children in mind – giving them an opportunity to get close with some animals while learning more about nature at the same time! We believe that all kids should have access to these calming influences which animals provide and look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with everyone who visits us.
